Cho-Yeh Camp & Conference Center (North)
This project consists of master planning, new construction, and major renovation of the Cho-Yeh Conference Center. The approximately $4 - $5 million dollar project consists of a new approx. 17,600 s.f. conference building, complete renovation of the existing dining/banquet building, new lodging buildings, landscaped plazas, walking paths, general landscaping, and site infrastructure.
The design solution required providing a new identity for an aging facility. The site has sloping terrain and is wooded with beautiful tall pines. The conference building will be a rustic design with great views from the meeting rooms and adjacent decks over looking the woods. The other buildings are designed to compliment the main building. The new lodging facilities are elevated above the sloping terrain to accomplish a tree house effect. The entire facility is woven together by a series of handicap accessible walks, paths, decks, and courts.
